How Do You 'Do? 5 Stunning and Secure Festival Hairstyles For Your Next Rave

Popular opinion: one of the best parts of a festival is putting together your whole look. If you already have your gorgeous Freedom Rave Wear outfitsplanned and ordered but are still struggling to decide what to do with that mop on your head, you are in the right place! I've done a deep dive into the sea of YouTube hair tutorials so you don't have to! Here are some of my favorite festival hairstyles, so you can ditch the sweaty ponytail for a hairstyle that looks amazing and will stay put all night while you break your neck.

Grab a friend, a comb, some elastics, and hairspray and experiment with these fierce looks! Don't forget to finish your hairdo off with some GLITTER!

1. Halo Braid

Yes, you ARE a kween. But if you're thinking about wearing an actual crown to a festival, you might want to reconsider. You'll likely headbang it off during the very first set. This cool style will keep your hair out of your face if you choose to wear your hair down, and looks as pretty as a real tiara.

2. Dutch Mohawk Braid

Hey girl, I heard you like braids, so I got you a braid to braid on top of your braid. This edgy mohawk braid gets its height from layering braids on top of one another-- a French braid going forward, and a Dutch braid going back. If you happen to have a crimper left over from the 90s, a small crimp will give this look a little extra edge and volume.

3. Bubble Hawk Braid

If you're like me and don't have the dexterity to do an elaborate braid on yourself, a bubble braid looks just as rad and doesn't require you to keep track of a bunch of strands of hair. All you need is a wristful of hair elastics to make yourself into the raver equivalent of Princess Jasmine!

4. Holo Hair

Holla for Holo! I am sooooo on Kayley Melissa's wavelength with wearable holographic. I mean, have you seen our store? The materials she uses are cheap, easy to find, easy to work with, and look amazing braided into hair!  I don't know about you, but I am definitely about to blast some vintage Gaga and take a crack at that holo corset braid!

5. Safety Pin Braid

Feeling dangerous? Who would have thought that you can use everyday household objects to make a bold hair statement! Just make sure you remove every safety pin from this 'do before you go to sleep, or you could have a very pointy and painful situation if one pops open.
