Throughout the year, Freedom Rave Wear is committed to making a positive impact by supporting notable charities that work tirelessly to improve communities, protect ecosystems, and make the world a better place. We are proud to announce that this month, we will be donating to RAINN.
MISSION
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is an organization dedicated to ending sexual violence and providing support to survivors. Their mission is to ensure that no survivor of sexual assault ever feels alone or without help. RAINN's initiatives focus on the following key areas:
- Support for Survivors: RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE) and an online chat service that provides free, confidential support and resources to survivors of sexual assault, their loved ones, and anyone seeking information. They continuously strive to expand their services and reach more survivors in need.
- Prevention Education: RAINN aims to prevent sexual violence through education and awareness programs. They provide training and resources to schools, workplaces, and communities, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to identify warning signs, intervene, and create safer environments.
- Public Policy Advocacy: RAINN advocates for policies that support survivors and enhance their access to justice. They work closely with lawmakers at the local, state, and federal levels to develop and strengthen legislation that addresses sexual violence, supports survivors' rights, and promotes prevention strategies.
- Partnerships and Research: RAINN collaborates with various organizations, institutions, and experts to advance the understanding of sexual violence and its impact. They actively participate in research projects, share knowledge, and work towards evidence-based solutions to prevent sexual assault and improve support services.
RAINN's work is guided by principles of inclusivity, survivor-centricity, innovation, and excellence. It is estimated that every 73 seconds, someone in the United States is sexually assaulted. The urgent need to support survivors and prevent future instances of sexual violence underscores the importance of RAINN's mission.
