Late last month, Pasqual Rotella wrote a letter to fans about the journey ahead for Insomniac Events. Among the news was further confirmation that EDC’s 20th anniversary in Las Vegas is going to be epic as hell, a goal to help bring back the true art of DJing and an announcement that EDC Puerto Rico and Beyond Wonderland Bay Area won’t be returning this year. The basic sentiment was this — events may change, but one thing remains true — the focus will always be on the experience.
As always, that experience promises to be bigger at better at Insomniac’s next event on the calendar. The fifth installment of EDC New York will be parking the Insomniac experience on the East Coast May 14 and 15 at a new location, Citi Field. For the first time ever, Carnival Square is making a stop in New York, promising an amazing view of DJs alongside intriguing artists and performers, super dank carnival food and a giant ball pit. All four of EDC’s most epic stages — kineticFIELD, circuitGROUNDS, cosmicMEADOW and neonGARDEN — will be stacked with some major talent, including Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Oliver Heldens, Kaskade, Madeon and Dillon Francis.
