It’s almost New Year’s Eve, and everyone is trying to find the best and most anticipated festivals and events to go to.
And if you’re not able to go way out west to California or Arizona area for Countdown, Snowglobe, or Decadence, don’t worry about missing those big-name artists. On December 30th and 31st, you’ll be able to catch plenty of popular EDM and rap artists at the third annual Snowta NYE festival in Minneapolis, MN.
You’ll be able to stay warm and dance without restraint at this indoor 18+ festival held in the massive Minneapolis Convention Center.
For two nights it will be transformed into a bright and colorful stage with a domed ceiling and
stunning lights that will make you feel like you’re under the rave version of the Northern Lights. The best part is that you can rock whatever cute fit you want (especiallyFreedomRave Wear) and as much New Year’s glitter as you want without worrying about the freezing weather that goes along with other outdoor NYE festivals!
Doors open at 6 pm on Saturday the 30th, and the party kicks off right away with performers like:
Marshmello, Ghastly, MadeinTYO, Rich the Kid, and Charles the first, who have all had a killer year in 2018. Don’t forget Manic Focus and NGHTMRE too, who always put on a great show. For day two make sure you catch Skrillex, Chief Keef, Ganja White Night, MELVV, and Boogie T.
Most of these headlining artists have released new albums and music this year. I would recommend checking out their new releases before heading to Snowta to get familiar with some of the amazing content created in 2018. Having seen Charles the first, NGHTMRE, Ganja White Night, and Boogie T myself this year I can promise those are a few of the sets you definitely don’t want to miss!
If you’re someone who likes a little more interaction at festivals besides just the music, there will be plenty at Snowta for you too.
Dive into some nostalgia, and feel like you’re a kid again with an arcade, alien laser tag, a mega skate park, and bungee trampolines.
There’s even a snowboard rail jam for those who feel like New Year’s just isn’t complete without winter sports. Previous editions of Snowta have featured sackcloth slides and an indoor Ferris wheel too!
Just like most music festivals you’ll find food and drink vendors on site, including beer, wine, liquor, and appropriately for a New Year’s Eve festival, champagne. A water refill station is also available for your canteens and Camelbaks. Many festivals lately, due to current events, are cracking down on
what you can and can’t bring in. However, Snowta is pretty straightforward and allows totems, flow toys, backpacks and
fanny packs, and empty hydration packs. As for what you can’t bring, they just ask that you leave at home any weapons, drugs, outside alcohol, pets, and bad vibes. If you’re planning on bringing a vape or any kind of E-Cigarette, their policy treats it the same as any tobacco products and you’ll only be allowed to smoke in designated areas. Lastly, the only re-entry for the festival will be from these smoking areas outside. If you’re staying in one of the Convention Center hotels you will also have access to shuttles to and from the Armory
So if you’re searching for a New Year’s Eve festival that won’t break the bank and still features heavy hitting artists all at a cozy warm indoor venue, grab your Freedom Rave Wear gear (or get some new outfits now!) hit up your friends and check out Snowta NYE!
