Glitter Tits: This Festival Fashion Trend is Here to Stay

Boobs.

They are pretty awesome all on their own. But just because something is magnificent as is doesn't mean you can't improve upon it.

"Glitter Tits," aka Glitter Boobs, Disco Tits, Boob Jewels, or Jewel Pasties, is the art of going basically topless and glitzing out your twins with glitter and some high-sparkle gems. A year ago, Maxim wrote an article about this daring look, stating that although it originated at music festivals, the look has gained traction and has been spotted at pride parades too.

Now, a year later, it doesn't look like this trend is going anywhere. Festival babes have fully embraced the freedom of blinging out their funbags in lieu of a wearing a top. While the most common look is "jewel pasties," gems that cover the nips (pictured), some girls have opted to simply layer on glitter to hide their highbeams.

It's easy to see why this look is taking off. Dealing with the "swoob" (sweaty boobs), slipping straps, and weird tanlines that come with wearing an actual top detracts from the "giving no f**ks" spirit of a music festival. Not to mention, they look fabulous AF. "I actually was stopped by a couple of metro police officers and they wanted to take pics with me because they said I had the coolest outfit on they've seen!" says Kiana Zhou, pictured below.

In addition, you can save some dimes while looking like a dime if you opt for disco tits. A festival top can cost anywhere from $20-$60. Boob gems, on the other hand? You can snag some from Freedom Rave Wear for only $10.

Worried about a wardrobe malfunction? If you've ever worn regular pasties, the same principles apply.

"Gem pasties are just like any pasties. I feel like you know you can't readjust them once you place them, but I always use spirit gum to make sure they stick," says Kiana.

It's always good to have a backup plan too, in case sweat, sunscreen, or getting rubbed up in a crowd compromises your bejeweled boobies.

"I'm always careful and I bring an extra shirt or extra pasties just in case," advises Kiana.

"It was pretty liberating and the feedback I've gotten has been tremendous," says Kiana.

It is in the nature of bewbs already make a pretty big impression, but dressing up your sisters in some sparkle will help you put your breast face forward this festival season.
