1. SHAQUILLE O’NEAL (BASKETBALL LEGEND- AKA Shaq Diesal)
Shaq proves that PLUR comes in all shapes and sizes. A four-time NBA Champion, Shaq is a force both on the court and in the mosh pit. The former MVP award winner goes by the moniker DJ Diesel, and recently performed his own super bowl party: Shaq’s Fun House. He also recently made his Tomorrowland debut, and was slated to perform at Beyond Wonderland So-Cal 2020 before its cancellation. Shaq is also a staple resident of Lost Lands.
2. Idris Elba (ACTOR)
The esteemed actor has been orbiting the music industry for years and has appeared in several albums (and music videos) since 2002. In addition to his acting chops, can also spin pretty well. Elba has some decent house tracks on Spotify and even performed a DJ set at last year’s EDC at Neon Garden. He even reportedly played a few tracks at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding reception.
3.DREW CAREY (COMEDIAN)
Drew Carey drops a surprise bombshell to his audience in this NSFW viral video: He’s a frequent raver and has attended both EDC and Tomorrow world. In the linked video, Carey discusses a bad trip his “friend” had at Electric Daisy Carnival, leaving us all wondering why we haven’t had these types of adventures.
4. MICHAEL PHELPS (SWIMMER, OLYMPIAN)
Electronic music is always the answer for training. Olympic swimmer and 28 time-
medalist, Michael Phelps admitted “The music that I’ve been listening to this time around… Nero and Skrillex, EDM. Got some old school Aoki in the mix from 2008.” Afrojack and Steve Aoki are two other favorite’s of Phelps, with the swimmer being a notable fan of classic Big Room House. We can only assume we would find some Swedish House Mafia in this swimmer’s playlist.
5. Paris Hilton (Heiress, Reality TV Personality)
Hotel heiress and reality star, Paris Hilton is now internationally renowned DJ. She even did a set for Trillerfest recently than can be streamed here! Hilton is known for her frequent visits to clubs in Ibiza both as a DJ and as a guest. From Big Room house to classics, this heiress constantly reminds us she’s the party princess. Paris doesn't just go to shows these days, she headlines them.
It should come as no surprise that the social elite have turned music festivals into their own adult playgrounds. Add a VIP section to the mix, and you've got yourself a prime location for a celebrity chillsesh. Coachella, SXSW, Burning Man, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and others have become top destinations for film and TV stars, and we’ve just scratched the surface on famous faces to be on the lookout for while crushing the festival circuit.
