Many ravers, including myself, put a lot of thought and spend a lot of time finding the right pieces to create the perfect outfit. Sometimes life gets in the way and you don’t have the time to find the perfect pieces, or maybe fashion just isn’t your strong suit. This is where Styled By Glitz comes in! Styled by Glitz is a festival/rave styling service created by one of my best friends, Ricky Barnett. I met Ricky when she was working at Freedom Rave Wear with me and so much of her personality shows through the outfits she wears, in everyday life as well as her rave outfits. I have already had Ricky style me on Groove Cruise when my luggage didn’t get delivered to our room and everyone else already had theirs. Luckily my luggage showed up right before we were about to leave our room, but I ended up liking the outfit that she put together for me better than what I was originally planning to wear, so I stuck with that!
Services
Ricky’s goal with Styled by Glitz is to bring out every individual’s truest self through fashion while making them feel confident and amazing in their festival outfit. There are three different packages to choose from: Basic, Next Level, and Queen.
Basic:
$100-200 depending on the outfit ($100 deposit required - goes toward total cost)
- Top & bottom OR bodysuit
- One accessory
Next Level:
$350-450 depending on the outfit ($250 deposit required - goes toward total cost)
- Top & bottom OR bodysuit
- 2-3 accessories
- Face gems
Queen:
$500-650 depending on the outfit ($350 deposit required - goes toward total cost)
- Top & bottom OR bodysuit
- 3-4 Accessories
- Face gems
- Glitter
- Fully loaded fanny pack/backpack (chapstick, gum, Boom Boom/Vicks, hand sanitizer, etc.) OR choice of shoes
In addition to those three packages, Ricky also has a rave bae package available for those who want to match with their S.O. Pricing and packages upon request.
If you’re local to the Scottsdale, AZ area, she also offers hair and makeup services.
Payments can be made through Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or cash.
Styling Process
To find the best outfit for you, Ricky will need to know a little about you and your style preferences. This can be done in-person or remotely (phone calls, texts, email, Facetime, etc.). Some of the questions she might ask are:
- What are your favorite colors to wear?
- Which event are you attending?
- Are there any items you are uncomfortable wearing/would like to avoid?
- Is there a theme?
- What are your sizes/measurements?
- What is your spirit animal?
- Do you have a price range?
- What is your favorite genre of EDM?
It is also important to note that purchases will only be made after your approval, so you won’t get anything you don’t like.
