It would be wonderful if every rave outfit came together perfectly. However, plenty of problems emerge when trying to put together any rave costume. Sometimes a rave outfit is just challenging to get together in the first place, such as if you're searching for rare plus-size rave clothing. Other times, the outfit looks like it's coming together, but something just doesn't work at the last moment. Following are some of the top complaints we hear, and some tips on dealing with them.
#1 My Pasties Won't Stick!
This can be potentially one of the most embarrassing problems to run into. Pasties are a fun way to mix up your regular rave outfit, letting you mess around with other looks beyond the standard bikini tops. However, if they manage to fall off, you could end up accidentally holding a one-woman topless parade. Worst is if you lose the pasties altogether!
The best way to avoid this issue is to make sure that you get pasties that are designed to be long-lasting. Often, pasties fall off simply because you've been raving too long, and the adhesive starts to wear off. Our pasties,for example, last for 10-12 hours.
If you're still having issues with pasties, you might want to consider doing a little bit of a cheat and taping them. It won't be too noticeable if done carefully but will give you a second layer of protection against an accidental nipple slip. Another helpful tip is to ensure that you’re applying the pastie onto clean, dry skin. Avoid using any body lotions or oils that could hinder the pastie’s stick power!
#2 My Fishnets are Tangled!
Imagine getting the perfect rave outfit together and deciding that some fishnets would make the ideal finisher. Then, you find that your fishnets are tangled or torn. What the heck are you to do?
Unfortunately, the best way to avoid tangled fishnets is never to get them entangled in the first place. This involves taking proper care of them. When removing fishnets, make sure to roll them down to your thighs, then gently pull from the bottom. When storing fishnets, you should gently roll them then tie them together, or hang them from a coat hanger. Just tossing them into a drawer is going to leave them a mess. If worse comes to worse and your fishnet becomes torn or snagged, turn that into the look! Add a few more holes for a sexy “undone” look.
#3 I Can't Find My Size!
Sometimes, the details ruin a rave outfit like pasties or fishnets. Sometimes the poor EDM outfit never makes it to the finish because you can't find everything in the right size to complete it.
This can be a tricky one to deal with. If a cute top or bodysuit isn't in your size, it just isn't in your size. You can try to make adjustments, but rave outfits for women often don't leave you much wiggle room. It's especially hard in many places to find plus-size rave wear.
